I am linking up this week with RAnn over at This That and the Other Thing. Every week she gathers up Catholic bloggers to share their favorite posts with each other. Please come over and check out her blog as well as the other bloggers!
Sue, you made my day! Thank you for your kind words and support. You are my first blogging friend! I'm so glad you never did stop and we've continued to encourage each other :)
I'm visiting you via Sue Elvis' blog. One of my daughter's chose St. Jane de Chantal as her confirmation saint - we have something in common! I'm looking forward to browsing your posts:-)
Hi Vicky, thank you for coming to visit me. I've seen your supportive comments over on Sue's blog so I'll come and say hello! What drew your daughter to St. Jane de Chantal?
Noreen, St. Jane de Chantal impressed us with her fervour and self-discipline - traits which I really struggle with. I remember talking with the children about how much she must have loved God to leave her children to serve Him. It was a bit beyond my understanding but, at Confirmation time, one daughter chose her as her patron saint.
Noreen, I used to have a biography which was written about a hundred years and digitally reproduced but I can't seem to find it. I think I must have lent it out. I didn't read the whole book so what we know has come from various children's books.
The Book Depository has a biography, which I think is the same book, here: http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Life-S-Jane-Frances-de-Chantal-Francoise-Madeleine-De-Chaugy/9781176794818
I am a Catholic mom who is enjoying the world of blogging. This blog is to honor God, explore christianity and share my life with you. What I am not, is a writer, expert on Catholicism or Christianity or a web designer. I have absolutely no experience at creating a blog whatsoever! What I do have is a desire to learn my faith and share it with others.
Noreen,
ReplyDeleteI hope you have time to have a quick look at my latest blog post.

DeleteThen perhaps that is why she picked me! Self-discipline is something I need to work on too! Have you found any good books about her?
