My doggie is included in the picture collage because as I am trying to work on my pc, he is interrupting to go outside, in the 16 degree weather, to show off his bone to our neighbor's dog. He's a goofball!

DeleteThe Giving Tree, Shel Silverstein. So totally appropriate that my little man knew instantly to connect the story line to Jesus' sacrifice for us. keeps them captivated the entire time. :)

I don't think we have any Lenten children's books. They are not as easy to come by as Advent and Christmas books. I guess it's not too late to start a collection. Even though my girls aren't so little any more, they still enjoy picture books. I shall have to bookmark your list and buy one book at a time. This is what I do each Christmas. I usually order a new book or two to add to the collection every Advent.

What's the library system like in Australia? All of the books I've listed are from our local library or within the interlibrary loan system. I feel that as a teacher, I want to find resources that my student's families can get at the library. I don't want to encourage them to buy it but to borrow it, that's ok.
