Feast of the Immaculate Conception

Today is the special day that we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception!  Without the special graces given to Mary from God and without Mary's yes, we wouldn't have the most special gift of all ~ Jesus!

Let us pray,
[That through the prayers
of the sinless Virgin Mary,
God will free us from our sins.]
Father,
You prepared the Virgin Mary
to be the worthy mother of your son.
You let her share beforehand
in the salvation
Christ would bring by his death,
and kept her sinless
from the first moment of her conception.
Help us by her prayers
to live in your presence without sin.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns
with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

  2. Psst... where'd you get the advent wreath for your blog? I've seen it on other blogs as well and would love to put it on my Sunday reading sites.

  4. Thank you for this, Noreen. I have shared it with Elyse (my daughter).
Funny thing: When most of my friends and readers want to "lean toward Rome" for a bit, they visit my blog. When I want to lean toward Rome for a bit, I visit yours! =D
    Blessings this weekend,

  6. If Mary was sinless, that proves Pelagius was right and Augustine was the heretic.
